Wednesday, October 14th, 2009Into week two at the new job and I think things are going well. Some sketches I did made a good impression and I’m on to comping my first site in a while.
dvg baked a pie tonight and the apartment smells a little burnt at the moment. Also, I’m gassy. Wishing that it would decide whether it wants to go up or down instead of just sticking behind my waistband.

Viognier, my old friend
Thursday, October 8th, 2009Unearthed a bottle of Imagine Viognier from the back of the fridge tonight. Lovely, but bold. Started out overchilled but came up to temperature nicely.
Almost the end of my first week at work. Trying in earnest to be more outgoing. But you know me and smiling in public. What a challenge!

New job, so tired
Wednesday, October 7th, 2009Started a new job this week. I have never before had to start work at 9am. It is truly exacerbating, but good to be working and not just sitting on my ass at home.
It’s also in North Hollywood, which means that I can start taking the train again and hopefully not get mugged.
I’m in that first week of insecurity feeling like I really have to prove myself, checking my p’s and q’s and all that jazz.
