i’m all for these black women who’ve had a rough year singing some upbeat feel-good songs, but i fear the american public isn’t buying it. poor brandy’s album debuted at number 15. this new toni braxton song, while i love it, sounds like it could have been a discarded b-side off of brandy’s new album. in fact it sounds almost like brandy is singing the backing vocals.

also, this song just made me pine for ‘breathless’ by the corrs.

this quite possibly should have been a twitter post, or possibly something that should not be blogged at all. i am drinking beer to relieve the heinous amount of pressure my brain incurred today, the details of which i cannot outline at the moment, but are suffice it to say, causing me to be quite unproductive and listless at home. 

thank goodness for brandy’s new album, which helped her get through killing someone with her car, and is therefore surely potent enough to help me through my petty problems.

brandy – the definition. i don’t know if rodney ‘darkchild’ jerkins thinks he’s timbaland circa-when-aaliyah-was-still-alive, but it’s okay, i dig it, and hey, it might be the IPA, but my mood has improved already.
