Monday, December 6th, 2004i get semi-unnerved when i realize how much the internet knows about me.
does anyone else get freaked out by the targeted advertising by google?i wasn’t even on my page, or a page that had any mention ofhemmorrhoids, and yet, while logged in as ‘anyonebagel’ the ads aimedstraight at my butthole are unmistakable.
it makes me wonder what other information the internet is stealing fromme. friendster already knows that i’m gay, since the only two ads i*ever* get on there are for gay.com and some karaoke singing studio.I’m assuming that not everyone gets those ads.
the inner workings of the internet frighten me.
